Great coverage and lots of dry powder. Emerald, Red and Franz's Chairs were running. 15 runs in total including Olympic down to the Midstation. Not to crowded. Ran into Joe and Mike as well.
There is a new run near the bottom of Ptarmigan where the old Black Chair used to go through. They have blasted out the cliffs and removed the bushes. I think this might be used for Slalom training.
Today the sun came out and there was the odd patch of powder under the ropes that was still untracked. My pass still does not work but it is getting resolved now. Ran into Doug, Joe, Mike, Al, Mae and Joe's new renters Andy(likes windsurfing) and Petra(Pastry chef) from the Czech Republic. About the same amount of people as Friday, so not that crowded. I think having the local mountains in Vancouver open took away some of the people. They have blasted Whistler Bowl and area and have created some big slides. We haven't had a wet snowfall to make it stick yet.
This is what I am interested in from the Alpine Forecast:
Plan on increasing snowfall Sunday night into Monday with gradually rising temperatures. A major heavy snow event is expected Tuesday through Thursday next week. Although freezing levels will be climbing briefly to about 1700m, don't be surprised to see additional snowfall in the 4-6 feet range those three days.
We could have one of those it is tooo deeep days!
