Merry Christmas Everyone
We have had lots of good powder days this week in the high alpine and the weather has sort of returned to normal but still a little warmer than normal. The lower slopes still need some natural snow to open completely. This does make it more challenging at the Holiday Season to get everybody off of the mountain safely. Whistler's Village ski out is in good shape with man-made snow. Blackcomb's needs a bit more snow and the snow guns are on when the temperature drops so hopefully this will improve. Whistler's Creekside is still a no go for ski out but again with the temperature dropping this might change soon. I would recommend beginner skiers and boarders to download.
Today started off slow but soon picked up. We were all alone skiing down Wishbone on the first run with blue skies above and snowing below us. Weird how this can happen. Everybody decided that 7th Heaven was the place to be. No lineups anywhere else but there. Lots of Santas on the mountain today. Environment Canada got the weather right today and the Ski Patrol got it wrong.
Don't know what to say about the weather coming up but looks like a little snow and clouds the next couple of days and then lots of sun. Sun is good for the holiday crowd as that is what they want. I might stay home and catch up on chores unless we get a big dump.
Happy New Year!
