Since last week it has got a lot colder and the snow guns have been turned on for a few runs. They now have Olympic Run from the bottom of Emerald Chair to the Village open on Whistler. On Blackcomb Zig Zag is open top to bottom, Easy Out is open but it is sparse near the bottom and Springboard is open part way down with natural snow. Green Line from the bottom of Solar to the top of Excalibur is in good shape. The ski out is not open yet but should be open any day now. Some people skied down and said it was good to Base 2.
We are supposed to experience a slight inversion in the temperatures over the next few days. Friday may be wet on the mountain but after that we might get some new snow. Still early in the season so no need to panic yet. The runs that are open are a little firm but there is good coverage. They have done a great job with the Summer grooming so less snow is needed to cover the runs.
