Thursday Report for March 5, 2015

It has been a pretty good week. With the temperatures on the mountain staying below freezing, sunshine, snow making and snow groomers doing an excellent job the runs are in great shape top to bottom. Some of the highlights were skiing top to bottom from the Peak to Creekside and the Village on Whistler. Dave Murray Downhill is in Excellent condition. Also they groomed the steepest part of Rhapsody Bowl. Man is that steep when they groom it. It never feels that steep when it is covered in powder. Also on Blackcomb, Catskinner has been groomed many days in a row,
Looks like nice weather through the weekend. Next week there might be some precipitation. Hopefully we will get snow on the mountain.
Nice to see the 50% off food specials for season pass holders until the rest of the season. Volunteers get this as well.
The Rendevous restaurant last day will be Apr 6 I think as they close to start the big renovations. Glacier Creek will still be open.

Blackcomb Glacier tour today. Glacier was in great shape.

Guest on June's tour today. She was hoping to get famous on the Thursday Report.

Mountain Host skating party this week.

I found a rose between a bunch of thorns.

They have been making a lot of snow on Lower Dave Murray.

All my friends are retiring and showing up mid week causing crowds on the mountain.

Lower Dave Murray looking great.

Even Ridge Run, which is off piste, was quite fun.

Ski Patrol was practicing longlining.

Cheakamus Lake from the top of Symphony Chair.

The groomers hit the steep part of Rhapsody Bowl. Yahoo!
