Thursday Report for Jan 18, 2018

Another good week with a variety of conditions. It didn't seem that busy on the weekend even though it was an American long weekend. Again the only big lineups were the 9:30am arrivals at the bottom lifts. We are starting to get back to more normal conditions with more snow days which is appreciated. The temperatures did get a little warm for a few days but that didn't hurt us.
Today was great with a lot of snow falling overnight. Nice light snow from mid up. Crowds were huge at the lifts as the alpine did not open due to high winds. I think Excelerator was busier then it was during the Xmas Holidays. In the afternoon the crowds started to diminish as many legs were tired.
They are forecasting snow every day for the next week so get your powder skis and boards out. Hope they get the Alpine open soon. Lots of wind packed powder up there.

Mountain Host tour today. See the snow going sideways.
Black Tusk on a sunny day on Sunday.

Garibaldi Park from Piccolo.

Mt Currie.

Blackcomb Peak.

Biggest line-up for the Peak to Peak Gondola I have ever seen on Sunday.

Rode up the chair with the Australian Paralympic Snowboard Team training in Whistler. I think that is mini me in the photo to.

This might be where the new Catskinner Chair starts and goes up next season.
