Last Friday they opened the Symphony Chair for the first time this season. I was worried that it would be very busy but with the low cloud over Piccalo Peak it must have kept the crowds away. Not bad powder in the Bowl and glades. It was so much fun we returned after lunch.
Didn't get up a lot this week as it was time to Xmas shop in Vancouver and there was no new snow.
Today we took a tour into the Blackcomb Glacier as usual. It seems that Dan and myself are the only ones that want to volunteer to take this tour. Suits me fine. Conditions were quite good in the morning on the groomers and the snow in the Blackcomb Glacier was very good. They had over 14,000 skier/riders today so they beat the budget of 11,000. It has been quite a busy week on the mountains.

Good news that parking lots 4 and 5 are now free again, lot 1 is only $8 instead of $15 and all lots are free after 5PM now. That should help the Village merchants.
There is also free ice skating now at Olympic Plaza in Village North. Skate rentals are only $5.
Looks like snow through Monday, not a lot, but any new stuff will be appreciated.
Now get ready for the Holiday crowds. Remember to get to the lifts when they open and then ski the lower lifts after the crowds arrive to avoid line-ups.
