Congratulations to my neighbour Marielle Thompson who won gold in a World Cup Skicross race at Blue Mountain in Ontario on the weekend. She just missed winning gold at the XGames the weekend before while leading most of the race before wiping out. Watch for her in the future.
Sure was nice to have the sun out for most of the week. The snow is staying good even though it has warmed up. Not much ice to be found.
Monday found me skiing with the Chipmunks doing some fun runs in the Blackcomb Glacier area. It was so good we did it 3 times various ways. Tuesday I got Barb up for a Princess day and Wednesday I skied with my Vancouver neighbour Art.

| See the little ribbon of snow in the rock face in the center. There were 2 tracks in there on Monday. I think they had a death wish. Eddie told me the name of the run but I won't repeat it on my blog. Ask me later if you want to know or ask Ingrid. |

Today I led the Blackcomb Glacier tour as usual. Guests from the US and Australia. We had a little touch of powder and the visibility wasn't too bad. Lots of high school students for races but otherwise it was not crowded. Saw Mokka as Stephanie was racing for her school. Hope she did well.

It snowed most of the day but not much accumulated. It was light rain just below the top of the Excalibur Gondola.
They are expecting small amounts of new snow the next few days with 1,600 to 1,700M freezing levels. It may be a bit busy this weekend as it is Pride Week or it will be the calm before the storm with the next weekend being the start of Presidents Week.
