Thursday Report for Mar 29, 2012

What a great weekend it was from Friday until Monday Noon. Brilliant sunshine without a cloud in the sky. Then Winter returned with deep powder days again. Today we had knee deep powder and high winds. They did not get the Horstman and Showcase t-bars open along with 7th Heaven. I don't think they got the Peak, Harmony or Symphony Chairs open on Whistler. If you are going up tomorrow look for North facing slopes in the Alpine if they get it open. They might not be wind affected. It might be amazing.

Some of these people waited over an hour just to do the Wall in Jersey Cream

My tour today. Guests from England and Hawaii. My first all board tour!
Looks like more snow with some sun on Saturday. Monday might be a big snow day. Freezing levels will go up and down a bit but I don't think there are going to go too high.

Here is a great video of avalanche control in the Kootenay Pass
