Thursday Report for Mar 8, 2012

After a mild weekend Monday ended up with knee deep powder. Some of my friends were the first to get tracks on 7th Heaven. The sun appeared on Tuesday but Wednesday, which was supposed to be nice and sunny, was overcast. Today wasn't too bad. It was brighter then Wednesday. The snow was good and the temperature nice and warm. Today the tour into the Blackcomb Glacier with Byron, Mike and myself encountered nice light chopped up powder and some fresh that was blown in. There were some big gusts of wind that set off warnings on some of the lifts. I almost got knocked over on the hike into the Glacier with one of the gusts.

The report on the mountain radio this afternoon is calling for snow tonight and tomorrow with the freezing levels going up to 1,300 m tomorrow. Might not be a bad powder day if you stay high.

You might see the Northern Lights tonight if the sky is clear!

Here is the photo clue this week. Do you know where this is?
