Thursday Report for Nov 22, 2012

It was a pretty good opening for Blackcomb today. I have seen a lot worse and not a lot better. The snow was light and fluffy. Not a lot of runs open and not a lot groomed. Excellerator, Solar, Jersey Cream and Catskinner chairs were open with a few selected runs on each. They might open Crystal Chair tomorrow. The runs there will all be on natural snow. The snow base this week has gone from 25cm to 95cm so it is coming fast as usual at this time of year. There are a few rocks on the cat tracks floating around but overall the main runs are in pretty good condition. Personally I think Whistler has a little better coverage. Tonight we  might get 20 to 30cm so get up early and check the report. Since it is my birthday Rick took me out for a few beer. We then went to the new $4.95 anything on the menu restaurant in Village North. I think it is called the El Furniture Warehouse. I had a great burger complete with bacon and fries. Rick had a beef dip. I recommend it highly and the staff are very friendly. That is the reason the report is late.
Currently at 7pm it is snowing in the Valley.
