Thursday Report for Mar 20, 2014

Another great week. Sunshine, powder, cruising, touring and snowshoeing.

Sunday was interesting. 15 minutes before the Showcase T-bar was going to close Woody and myself went into the Blackcomb Glacier to find it totally untracked. I guess it had been socked in all day and everybody avoided it. Woody said it was the best Blackcomb Glacier run he had ever had.Went snowshoeing at the Olympic Park on Monday with Barb. Toured with a bunch of friends to Oboe on Tuesday in beautiful untracked powder. Today we found the most effortless powder in the Blackcomb Glacier I have skied in years.

The Canadian Alpine Championships are on right now until the 26th,so if you like to watch ski racing get up here.

Looks like the temperatures will remain cool enough for the next while to keep the snow nice. Maybe a touch of snow once and a while and lots of sun.
