Thursday Report for Mar 27, 2014

Another pretty good week. Along with skiing and snowboarding I went snowshoeing halfway up Sproatt Mountain with the Alpine Club. I would like to do it again on a clearer day and get to the top as the views up there are spectacular. Wednesday was another best day ever with Sunshine, powder and no crowds which allowed more untracked powder runs. Today it warmed up a bit so I was overdressed. Snow was getting more on the wet side compared to the day before.

Congratulations to my neighbour Marielle Thompson who not only won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Ski Cross but also won the Crystal Globe in World Cup Ski Cross in a wild final run.

Our new green Mountain Host uniforms from North Face have been ordered for next season. Will be interesting to see how the new colour works out.

Looks like more snow through the weekend and temperatures staying below freezing. Maybe some sun after the weekend.

If you are getting an Edge Card or Season's Pass for next season the Spring deals are out. Check on Whistler Blackcomb's website.
