Thursday Report for Jan 26 2017

Another great week. Started off on Friday with blue skies and untracked powder. We skied the Adagio Trees and Rhapsody Bowl 3 times and hiked out twice before they got all the chairs cleared of snow. We forgot all about eating as we were having so much fun and ended up having lunch at 2:30. Tuesday we knew there was still powder to be had so seven of us went back-country skiing to Oboe. Amazing soft powder that was so easy to ski. There was even powder left in Lesser Flute when we came back in bounds to catch the Symphony Chair back up.

Today the groomed runs were probably the nicest I have seen them all season. Nice and soft for high speed cruising.
It is best to get up early until we get new snow as by the end of the day some of the runs get a few slick spots on them, especially the lower slopes.

The freezing level is supposed to rise a bit for the next 2 days and then we get snow and lower temperatures into next week with sun.

This week I received my 250,000 vertical meters and 500 lift rides badges on WB+ for this season. I am pacing way ahead of last year now so I must still be having fun.
