It has been a good week of skiing and then fresh snow today. Not near as busy as previous Christmas weeks. I was wondering where everybody was until today. The crowds all arrived at the same time today causing massive lineups by 10am to get up the mountains. Of course the next set of lifts got super busy as well, The exception to this was Creekside due to an accident on Highway 99 early morning stopping the Vancouver traffic. By around 11am the skiers started spreading out and the lineups went down. The alpine lifts were not busy due to bad visibility. So then I still think we are not as busy as previous Christmas Holidays. Of course we still have a few more days to go so let see what happens. Remember to get to the lifts early, like 8am, as that is when they are opening. You will have 2 hours without any crowds.Then go to the Alpine lifts.
It seems like we are getting a lot more foreign visitors as I am noticing very few Canadians riding with me on the lifts and most have bought Epic Passes.
Interesting note is that with the amount on Epic Mix points I have this year so far I would be in 1st place at Vail. Goes to show you where the real skiers are, here of course.
Looks like one more day of snow and then a mix of sun and clouds for a while.
