Winter returned for some of this week. Nice snow, and again no crowds, especially when it is Spring Break. We are getting fog mid mountain on some days. I finally skied Spanky's Ladder doing both Ruby Bowl and Diamond Bowl. Beautiful snow in there. They are still grooming quite a few black runs which makes it fun. The snow is finally starting to leave the Valley although there is still a lot on my lawn. We are still getting some snow to the Valley once and a while but it melts not long after.
The new trail sign at the top of Brownlee Basin has mysteriously disappeared with no trace of it. I wonder if a winch cat hit it as they have been grooming Brownlee Basin almost everyday now.
FYI Your Seasons Pass for this Winter does not include Summer Sightseeing for this Summer. This is backwards from what the old Whistler Blackcomb Pass was. So basically you have to renew your pass for next season before April 15 if you want Summer access. If you don't buy before April 15 Vail has not decided how much the passes will be after that date. Again Vail is very slow at making decisions and communicating.
It will be interesting to see if this Holiday weekend will be busy. Something tells me it will not be as busy as usual. We have a lot of Mexicans here though as they are avoiding the USA. I have a feeling we are losing business to the Interior Resorts as I have heard Sun Peaks is busier this year and they have some lineups now which is unheard of.
Looks like for the next week that nothing very dramatic is going to happen. A little snow, a little sun and seasonal temperatures. Sounds good to me.
Happy Easter.
