It is interesting to see the huge lineups to upload the mountains in the morning every day, even midweek.. Not having the Solar Coaster and not having the replacement Gondola running must be the reason. The good news is that the new Blackcomb Gondola is hopefully having a soft opening tomorrow, fingers crossed, and the grand opening will be on Saturday, It was running today with all cars on the line.
I would think that weather permitting that nearly every run and lift should be open very soon. We have a lot of snow now. The Groomers and Ski Patrol just need to get out there and get the job done. I think they are already doing it behind the ropes. The exception will be the Horstman T-bar which is having a problem with global warming. They made snow on the glacier in October and will make snow later when they return the snow guns up there.
I got to go bobsledding on Wednesday after skiing. It was a 4 man sled with an Olympian driver and 3 passengers. What a rush. We got up to 123.7 km/hr. It only took 41.7 seconds and it was over. If you want a death defying experience, go for it.
Look at this forecast!!! It usually never does what they predict but we can hope.
