Thursday Report for Jan 9, 2020

Yahoo, Winter finally arrived. A great week with lots of snow. Tuesday was the big day with snow all day. We now have twice the base that Vail has and 2 1/2 times what Heavenly has. We still need more though as we are still on the low side of the 20 year average. All of the main runs now have plenty of snow but some of the other side runs are still showing treetops and rocks so beware. We are still waiting for the Showcase T-Bar and Symphony to open as well as the re-opening of Harmony. This has to be the latest ever to get these lifts going. I guess it is still the avalanche danger problem. Blackcomb is busier then Whistler because of Seventh Heaven and Crystal Ridge being open.

We are supposed to get quite a bit of snow tonight through tomorrow and then Arctic outflow moves in with -20C temperatures on the mountain. Get out your parka.

Tour group today. Beautiful snow on Seventh Heaven.

Snow on the balcony Tuesday morning.

Snow in the driveway Tuesday morning.

All by myself on the first Peak to Peak Gondola over to Whistler. It was very eerie.

More snow fell during the day.

Now to dig out the driveway at the end of the day.

Knee deep walking around the house.

Some of our Thursday crew today.
