Today I tail-gunned one of the 2 Blackcomb Glacier tours. They groomed the center for only the second time this year and improved the entrance. The snow off piste was nice, soft and smooth. Got a closer look this time at the avalanche the Ski Patrol set off last Thursday morning in the Poop Chutes. See photos below.
Not very crowded this week but they still beat budget for numbers yesterday. There were a lot more people on Whistler than Blackcomb. More then usual so maybe that is why Blackcomb felt so empty. They are also getting the Alpine open right away with the good weather and that disperses the crowds.
According to the weatherman tomorrow should be pretty nice followed by 3 days of snow. He was wrong for today so who really knows.
It is so nice having the longer daylight now. I think I got a bit of Spring Fever today.

Fraggle Rock was some scary kind of fun! Glad I could keep up with 'the boys'. Thanks for the semi-private tour Don!
