Thursday Report for Jan 26, 2012

What a week it has been. Lots of powder and lots of wind. Finally did an unofficial run I had never done before called CBC North guided by Joe and the gang. Lots of fun.
It has been pretty busy all week so I am wondering what midweek in February and March is going to be like if the slow season is busy. Might have to do some back-country.
Today the sun made an appearance for a while and with the fresh snow it made for a perfect day. Dan and myself took the tour into the Blackcomb Glacier as usual. We lucked out as the Showcase T-Bar opened as we got to the top of 7th Heaven. There was no lineup so we were one of the first people into the glacier. Great snow of varying depth with some of it wind affected from previous days. The Glacier had not been open for a few days. Yahoo!

Looks like more snow on the way for Saturday on but not big accumulations. The weather man is always wrong so hopefully it will be more then he is predicting. We can never get enough powder.

  1. Hey Don, thanks to you and Dan for a great tour into the fresh powder of the glacier. Perfect timing with the lift! Hope to see you both again.
