Thursday Report for Dec 24, 2015

Merry Christmas everyone.

Another fabulous week. Symphony Chair opened on Friday. Sunday was the highlight. We had bottomless powder in the Adagio trees and many laps of Symphony Bowl in untracked powder. So glad that nobody can seem to find Symphony. It is getting hard to decide whether to take the fat skis or the snowboard. We seem to get snow almost every day and I am not complaining.
Today was a first on two counts. We had 3 Mountain Hosts on snowboards, including me, and then Henry and myself guided the Blackcomb Glacier tour, both on snowboards. We left the hut hoping the Showcase T-bar was going to open as it was closed with an electrical problem. When we reached the top of 7th Heaven they had it working again. It was fantastic with untracked powder top to bottom. Everybody finished with grins ear to ear.
Get ready for some busy days ahead as usual. Dec 27 to 30 should be the busiest so I might find other things to do like snowshoeing or backcountry skiing/snowboarding.

Blackcomb Glacier tour today.

Unusual sighting of Woody crawling back up in the powder to retrieve a ski.

That's me in the deep powder on Sunday. Robert in the background knee deep stuck in the flats.
Christmas Lights in Village North.

Christmas Lights in the main village.

Christmas Caroling in Whistler Village.
Sledding hill in Olympic Plaza. Free Ice Skating is now open there as well.
Our neighbours little snowman with one eye.
