Thursday Report for Mar 17, 2016

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Another great week. Lots of powder days that have now turned to bluebird days.
It is another Spring Break Week so the crowds picked up a bit, but it has not been as busy as I thought it would be except for the odd lifts at odd times. See one of the photos below.
We could be heading for a record number of skier visits this season. I think the record is 2.1 million set back in around 2000. The snow pack is also getting up there. I am wondering if we could hit a base of 400 cm by the end of this month. Lets see what happens this week.

Friday and Saturday look good. Sunday on could be a bit on the mild side. Hopefully the temperature will be on the right side of mild as we could get a lot more snow then.

Blackcomb Glacier tour today. Finally a Thursday we could see the glacier and the snow was fantastic.

Biggest lineup I have ever seen at Harmony Chair. This was last Friday. Snow was great and the crowds soon disappeared.

Signs are starting to get buried.

And now the sun is out.

Alta Lake is thawing out.

I even found some untracked powder yesterday.

The crazy Thursday crew today all in green for St. Patrick's Day.

It was cold this morning before the Sun came up.

Check out the GMC Denali car on the Excalibur.

Leather seats as well.
