I am beginning to think a lot of people don't work, as Tuesday was like a busy Saturday. Lineups at the bottom lifts were huge by 8:30am except for the local's secret chair, Fitzsimmons.
We have had some nice powder days in the Alpine this week and it should carry on.
For those of you that have signed up for WB+ on Whistler Blackcomb's website, they now have the Leaderboard working so you can see who is ahead of you in the rankings. Frank B. is way out in front so you better start racking up that vertical. Good luck catching him though.
Our Prime Minister, who used to be a snowboarding instructor here, was up on the weekend snowboarding. I guess like all of us would do he said what the heck. I am in Vancouver for a conference on Monday so why not pop up to Whistler on the weekend and make a few turns.
Looks like lots of snow through the weekend but huge winds so it might be interesting. Temperatures should be cold enough for the upper mountains but probably rain lower down. I think we will easily get above a 300cm base this season as we usually reach our max. base at the end of March. I must say the weather forecasters are getting better.
As I said last Thursday the lifts are open another 1/2 hour now but note the Alpine lifts are not.
